TACDC sponsored 'Solo Reflections' August 2010
TACDC was proud to present a private performance of ‘Solo Reflections” featuring award winning Chinese and Australian artists.
The Hon. Chris Schacht gave a presentation about the benefits of the creative industries for international business relations. Guests were able to meet the artists and join in discussion about the arts and building cultural bridges.
Following their recent performances at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo,choreographer Amanda Phillips and Artistic Director Gabriella Smart staged ‘ Solo Reflections’ with guest dance artist Jiang Fan, courtesy of Shanghai Opera. Jiang Fan was in Australia for a limited period; this was a special opportunity to see one of China’s rising stars perform with Gabriella and Amanda in a program which featured Australian and Chinese music for piano.
