South Australian Chinese community and friends joined together to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 1911 Revolution, or Xinhai Revolution. Mr Xue Bing the Minister-Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy attended the celebrations along with other members from the Embassy.
The 1911 Revolution, or Xinhai Revolution began on Oct. 10, 1911 and was led by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, founder of the Kuomintang. It ended one of the world’s longest periods of autocratic rule by toppling the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and establishing a republican government.
