H.E. Mr. Jiang Daming, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shandong Committee and Governor of the province, met with Hon. Mike Rann, Premier of South Australia and his entourage in Jinan in the afternoon on 12 April 2011.H.E. Vice Governor Huang Sheng attended the meeting.

“Governor Jiang warmly welcomed this visit and expressed high appreciation for the gift, which is marking the 25th anniversary of sisterhood relationship between the two state and province presented by the South Australian government. He noted that since the establishment of sister ties in 1986, concrete progress in bilateral exchanges have been made continuously in realms of economy, trade, culture, education, etc.. Based on the agreement reached by the two sides, Shandong will send delegations to attend the 2011 Australian Resources Chinese Investment Conference and the OzAsia Festival with support from SA side. He hoped taking the opportunity of the 25th anniversary the two province and state will join hands to further creat a new dimension of cooperation in the fields of new energy, mining industry, marine economy, agriculture and animal husbandry and others.
Hon. Michael Rann expressed thanks for Shandong’s warm hospitality and considerable arrangements. He pointed out that SA and Shandong enjoy strong complementarities and broad space and great potential for cooperation. He was confident in achieving more specific collaborative results and win- to- win development in the future.”
