Minister for Tourism, Martin Ferguson AM MP said at the Australia-China Tourism Summit in June this year, “Within a decade, visitors from China are forecast to bring $6 billion into the Australian economy in a single year, doubling the current economic value of Chinese visitors to Australia.” Did you know that China has surpassed the United Kingdom as Australia’s most valuable tourism market? (Tourism Research Australia, 2011).
With the understanding that the inbound Chinese tourist market in Australia is growing rapidly, TACDC will be running two sessions for tourism operators in association with the South Australian Industry Tourism Council.
TACDC and SATIC will host a two hour discussion followed by a Chinese style banquet.
